My first choice is a photo taken by a friend in Yosemite. I think it is probably a good example of a School of Art type of work because it is reminiscent of Photos of scenery that Ansel Adams made famous. I believe however that it stands on its own as an original piece of art simply because of the unique moment in time that Doug has captured. Its something we can all immediately appreciate.
I love your choice of picture here! Yosemite is my favorite place in the world and I have taken many photos there. I love to sit at the base of the Yosemite falls and paint in watercolor the falls and the mist. Such an inspiring place!

The is a really amazing shot I like vacationing there in the winter and just sit and stare in amazement at the many colors of natures brush.
